a teacher, a mom, and a passionate traveler.
I was born and raised in New York City. Luckily for me, I was immersed in different cultures from very young. However, at the mere age of 9 while traveling for the first time to the Dominican Republic, I realized what a tiny place I occupied in the world. I immediately developed an intrinsic motivation and need to travel.
I am a traveler, not a tourist. Even though most of my trips are only 5 days long, through my travels I have learned so much about the world and myself. I don’t travel with an agenda, I travel to see what I see and where ever I go it becomes part of me somehow.
I have learned to master the art of traveling. I go on about seven trips a year with a teacher’s salary. You wonder how I do it? I created this site to share my adventures while traveling and to give tips on how to maximize the experience when traveling to specific destinations in a short amount of time.
